Mirzapur

Mirzapur is a district of Uttar Pradesh, which has the district headquarter of Mirzapur. Among the main attractions of Mirzapur, there are many ghats and historical structures built during the British period. Although the signs of civilization are found here from 5000 AD, it was originally established in the year 1735 by the British East India Company. Rocks painted in the Belan River valley area and many other works of art are present, which is proof of this that life was present here in the Pala period. On the sandstone found in the Vindhya range, some amazing petroglyphs (lines drawn on rocks) are found, which are older than 17000 AD.

This is the reason that this district attracts many historians and archaeologists, and the number of tourists coming here is very high, which come to see the beautiful ghats besides the historic buildings here. On the occasion of religious festivals, these ghats are decorated with beautiful colors. Mirzapur is also known for its carpet and brass industry.

 Mirzapur is also famous for its natural beauty, besides its historical significance and palaverical period. In this district you can see the Tanda Falls, Sirsi Dam and the Tawa Bund. Pankha Ghat and Male Ghat are among some famous ghats. There are many festivals and fairs organized in Mirzapur, which include Ojjala Mela, Vindhyasini Jubilee celebrations, Jhulanotsav, Lohandi Mela and Kantit Mela. Here you can see the Chunar fort and the dedicated Bir Bhairav ​​temple to Lord Shiva.
