Prafulla Chaki, along with Khudiram Bose, undertook a mission to assassinate Kingsford, a British magistrate known for his harsh treatment of Indian freedom fighters. On April 30, 1908, the two revolutionaries attempted to bomb Kingsford's carriage in Muzaffarpur. However, the plan went awry, and they mistakenly targeted a different carriage.

Capture and Death of Prafulla Chaki:

Following the Muzaffarpur bombing, Prafulla Chaki and Khudiram Bose were pursued by the British authorities. Chaki chose not to be captured alive and shot himself when confronted by the police. He died on May 2, 1908, in Mokama, Bihar.
