Who was Porus

King Porus (King Puru too) was the Vashanj of the Porawa Dynasty, whose empire spread to Jhelum and Chenab rivers in Punjab (Hydaspes and Asisnas in Greek) and colonized Hyposis. Their area was between Hydaspas (Jhelum) and Acid (Chenab), which is now the region of Punjab. Porus fought with Alexander Great in the Battle of Hydaspas.

  • The empire of the great emperor Porus was the giant. Maharaja Poros was the owner of a very large land including Sindh-Punjab. The empire of Porus was located between the Zahalam (Jhelum) and Chenab rivers.
  • Porus was famous for his bravery. He had built his own kingdom with the support of all those who had accepted his leadership on Khukharan (hollow).
  • The historians believe that Puru had faith in his heroism and laughter, but he did not stop Alexander from crossing the Jhelum river and this was his mistake.
  • When Sikandar invaded, his Gandhara-Takshshila's King Amehi welcomed and helped Sikandar Gupta in a secret way. The king himself considered Poros as their enemy.
  • Alexander sent a message to Porus in which he had written to Porus to surrender to Alexander, but Porus did not then accept Alexander's submission.
  • Indians had the stubbornness of every citizen to kill the foreigner, besides the powerful Gajsena, there were also some unseen weapons, such as the sevenfatta spear which could have killed the same soldier, including many enemy soldiers and horse-drawn soldiers.
  • On the very first day of this war Sikandar's army got into a huge struggle. Alexander's army had many heroic casualties. Despite the horrors of the Yavani warlords, Alexander was stuck on his stubbornness and entered the war zone between his special bodyguard and the antitank defense.
  • There could not have been any threat to any Indian soldier being on elephants; the king's point is far away. Raja Puru's brother, Amar, killed Sikander's horse bookfiles (Sanskrit-Bhawakpali) with his spear and dropped Alexander onto the ground. Such a Greek army had never seen it happening during all its war times.
  • Alexander Land Paragira was standing in front of the front for the King Puru Swar. King Bangar was just a guest at that time only when Raja Purush was stunned. It was not afraid, perhaps it was the holy religion of Arya Raja, however, when Alexander's bodyguards took him away from the place quickly.
