What is the Google Passkey feature?

With the help of the passkey feature, Google users will be able to unlock their account from phone and computer. Using passkey feature, the user will not need to manually enter the password to unlock the account. Users will be able to unlock the account using PIN, face unlock and fingerprint with the help of phone and computer.

The new Google Passkey feature has also been introduced keeping in mind the privacy of the user. Google has said about this Google Passkey feature does not collect user's biometric data.

For which Google users will the new Google Passkey feature be useful?

Google had introduced passkey support for personal account. Now this feature has been brought to Google Workplace and Cloud Account for open beta.

However, for this the Google will enable the feature for the users in the coming time. Currently workplace administrators can enable the passkey feature. However, this feature will not be enabled by default. It will need to be manually activated by administrators.
