Holi Recipes: Instead of buying from the market, make these delicious savory dishes at home quickly.

On the occasion of Holi, the taste of traditional dish Gujiya is tasted in almost every house, apart from this Gulab Jamun, Besan Ladoo and all kinds of sweet things are also made. But only after eating a little sweet, the heart starts eating salty food. Although you can bring different varieties of snacks from the market, but the taste that happens in homemade dishes is not often found in the dishes bought from the market. So today we will learn about the recipe of salty dishes made on the occasion of Holi here. Which you can easily prepare in minutes.

Ingredients- 500 grams spinach, 3/4 cup finely chopped beans, 1 capsicum finely chopped, 3/4 cup peas, 2 potatoes boiled and grated, 3/4 cup cheese grated, 3 tsp green coriander, 2 tsp oil, 1 tsp amchur, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1 green chilli, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 cup bread crumbs, 8 cashews cut into two pieces, oil for frying, salt.

Method- Wash the spinach and boil it in water for two minutes and filter it to remove all the water. Heat oil in a pan and fry green chilies. After two seconds, add capsicum to it and when it becomes soft, add beans and peas and cook. Cool the mixture and grind it with spinach in a mixer. Take out the ground mixture in the bowl and add potatoes, paneer, green coriander and all the spices in it. Now grease your hands and shape the mixture into tikkis and garnish with cashews wrapped in bread crumbs. Heat oil in a pan and fry it on medium heat. Serve with green chutney and salad.

2. Crispy Shortbread

Ingredients for shortbread dough - 2 cups all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon carom seeds, 1 teaspoon oil, water as required

Ingredients for stuffing - 1/2 cup washed moong dal, oil as required, 4 tbsp gram flour, 1 tsp fennel coarsely ground, 1 tbsp whole coriander coarsely ground, 4-5 whole black pepper coarsely ground, tbsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, a little kasoori fenugreek.

Method- First of all soak moong dal in water and after 4-5 hours filter it through a sieve and grind it coarsely in a mixer. After this, knead the soft dough by mixing the ingredients of flour in the parat and keep it covered for 15-20 minutes. Now heat three tablespoon oil in a pan and fry the gram flour. After two minutes, leave the kasoori fenugreek and put the rest of the stuffing in it and after frying for a minute add moong dal. Lastly add kasoori methi and fry for 30 seconds. When the mixture cools down, make small balls out of it. Now mash the already prepared dough lightly with your hand and make small balls out of it. Roll out each ball lightly and place a ball of lentils in it and seal it with your hand. Press each ball lightly with your hand and deep fry it in hot oil on low flame.


3. Murmura Namkeen

Ingredients - 300 grams puffed rice, 1 tablespoon oil, 100 grams peanuts, 4 green chilies chopped, 8-10 curry leaves, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 100 grams mixed namkeen

Method- After heating oil in a pan, first fry the peanuts and remove them. Then put green chili in the same oil and immediately add turmeric and fry it a little. After this, add puffed rice and salt and fry on low flame for 5-6 minutes. When the puffed rice is fried, add fried peanuts and mix namkeen to it and mix well. Crispy Murmura Namkeen is ready.
