Eligibility Criteria for Kisan Mandhan:

1. Age: Farmers between the ages of 18 and 40 years are eligible to join the scheme.

2. Land Ownership: Small and marginal farmers who own cultivable land are eligible. The definition of small and marginal farmers varies by state and union territory.

Yojana Features and Benefits:

1. Monthly Pension: After reaching the age of 60, the enrolled farmers receive a fixed pension amount every month. The amount of the pension depends on the contribution made by the farmer during their active years.

2. Contribution: Farmers enrolled in the scheme have to make a monthly contribution based on their age. The central government also contributes to the pension fund.

3. Death Benefit: In case of the death of the farmer during the period of the scheme, the spouse is eligible to receive 50% of the pension as a family pension.

4. Nomination: Farmers can nominate their spouse for receiving the pension in case of their demise.

5. Enrollment Process: Enrollment into the Kisan Mandhan Yojana can be done through Common Service Centers (CSCs) across India or by approaching nodal officers appointed by the State/UT governments.

6. Pension Payment: The pension is directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
