Why MS Dhoni retired from international cricket, know the real reason

Taking a sudden decision to retire from international cricket, he gave a clear message that he will not stop the way for the youth. If Dhoni did not declare his retirement, players like Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson and Ishaan Kishan would be under pressure in the IPL. A close confidant of him told Dainik Jagran that the T20 World Cup was to be held in Australia this year and Dhoni was keeping himself fit for it, but he made the decision due to his move to 2021. Surely now Rishabh Pant will get more opportunity as wicketkeeper.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for Dhoni and his boss N. Srinivasan holds a very high status. Dhoni had not played any match since losing the semifinal against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup. Since then questions were being raised about his future. He arrived in Chennai on Friday along with the rest of CSK's teammates. After meeting teammates, he met Srinivasan and announced his retirement from international cricket on Saturday.

Dhoni retired from the biggest format of cricket from the middle Test series in Australia in late 2014. In 2017, he abruptly relinquished the captaincy of ODIs and T20s. At that time he had said that the new captain would get a chance to make a team for the upcoming World Cup, but he would continue to support him. Dhoni has now retired from international cricket on 15 August 2020.
