Early Life:

Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis was born on July 22, 1970, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, into a prominent political family. His father, Gangadharrao Fadnavis, was a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. Devendra Fadnavis grew up with a keen interest in politics and law.


Devendra Fadnavis's Education:

Fadnavis completed his Bachelor's degree in Law from Government Law College in Nagpur. He later earned a post-graduate degree in Business Management (MBA) from the Institute of Management Development and Research, Pune.

Political Career:

Devendra Fadnavis began his political career at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP, in Maharashtra. In 1999, he was elected as a Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Nagpur West constituency, a seat he continued to hold in subsequent elections.

Fadnavis held various positions within the BJP, showcasing his leadership skills and commitment to the party. In 2014, he became the first BJP Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Devendra Fadnavis served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from October 31, 2014, to November 8, 2019. During his tenure, he focused on initiatives related to infrastructure development, urban governance, and agricultural reforms. His government implemented schemes like the Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan for water conservation and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for affordable housing.

His tenure also witnessed significant political developments, including alliances and coalition politics. Despite the challenges, Fadnavis remained a prominent leader in Maharashtra politics.

Post Chief Ministership:
After his tenure as Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis continued to be active in state politics. He served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and played a crucial role in the state's politics.

Personal Life of Devendra:

Devendra Fadnavis is married to Amruta Fadnavis, and they have one daughter named Divija.
