His family did not belong to the royal court. In the eyes of the erstwhile history writers and collectors, the center of history used to be the monarchy. Who were the parents of Dadu Dayal and what was their caste? Scholars also have differences in this subject. In the absence of authentic information, these differences remain on the basis of estimate. Their remedies are unavailable. According to a legend, like Kabir, Dadu was also an illegitimate son of a poetic Brahmin, who sent Dadu to Sabarmati river in fear of slander. Later, they were raised in a Dhunia family. They were brought up by a local Brahmin named Lodiram. According to Acharya Parashuram Chaturvedi, his mother's name was Basi Bai and she was a Brahmin. There is no information about how important this legend is and what time it has become popular. It is possible, it has been fortified later. Dadu's disciple, RAJZ has written -
