This box is very strong metal made of titanium and is closed in a box made of titanium so that it has minimal damage even if it falls on the ground from the height or falls in the sea water.

History of 'Black Box':

In view of the increasing number of air accidents in the year 1953-54, talked about the installation of an instrument in the aircraft which can be properly informed of the causes of the aircraft accident so that future problems can be avoided. The black box was invented as a remedy for this.

In the beginning, due to its red color, it was called 'Red Egg'. In the earliest days, the inner wall of the box was blackened, probably due to its name being black box.

'Black Box' has two separate boxes

1. Flight Decata Rorder:

Keeps records of more than 25 hours of recorded information about 88 types of data, including the direction of the plane, height, fuel, speed, turbulence, temperature of the cabin etc. | This box can tolerate the temperature of 11000 ° C for one hour while the temperature of 260 ° C has the capacity to withstand up to 10 hours. The color of these two boxes is not black but red or pink so that it can be easier to find.

2.Cockpit Voice Recorder:

Black box records the sound of the aircraft during the last 2 hours in the plane. It records the sound of the engine, the sound of an emergency alarm, the sound of the cabin and the cockpit's voice; So that it was possible to know what kind of aircraft was before the crash.

How does 'black box' work?

As mentioned above, the black box is made of very strong metal. It tolerates the temperature of 1100 ° C for one hour and keeps working for 30 days without electricity. When this box falls to some place, then every second takes out a beep sound / wave continuously for 30 days. The presence of this voice is 2 to 3 km by the investigative team. Is recognized from the distance. Another interesting thing is that it keeps sending indicators from 14000 feet deep sea water.
Although the black box does not show a clear picture of any plane crash; In many cases, it does not even get it. But it is so certain that it has an important role in knowing the reasons for an accident of an aircraft.
